About Femme Vibe Diaries
If you've found your way here, I'm so happy you're here.
I created this blog from a simple desire to have a space where women can explore the many different layers of life together. A place where I can talk about fashion one day and healing the next. Where I discuss beauty alongside self-worth, where books spark meaningful conversations, and where pop culture helps us understand ourselves and the world around us.
This isn't actually my first time creating a blog. I've had a couple of blogs throughout my life, each one reflecting a different version of me and the things I was interested in at the time. The longest-running one was a cooking blog, and that little corner of the internet taught me so much more than I ever expected. I learned how to cook properly, how to style food so it actually looked as good as it tasted, and how to photograph food in a way that made someone want to reach through the screen and grab a fork. It was one of those creative projects that started as something I simply enjoyed and ended up teaching me skills I still carry with me.
But even that wasn't where my blogging story began. I started blogging before Facebook was even a thing, back when Myspace was hot and apparently we all thought customizing our profiles with questionable music choices and glittery graphics was the height of sophistication. Yes, I blogged on Myspace. And as much as I can laugh about it now, there is something I genuinely miss about that era of the internet. Side note, we really should never have jumped from Myspace to Facebook. That was a mistake.
There was something beautiful about having a little more privacy before social media became the place where we documented every coffee, relationship, argument, purchase, holiday, meal, outfit, thought, and personal milestone. We lived more of our lives for ourselves instead of constantly thinking about how they would look to everyone else online. Somewhere along the way, sharing became almost compulsory, and so much of social media turned into one enormous performance of having the best life, looking the best, buying the best things, going to the best places, and making sure everyone knew about it. A lot of what gets presented as connection is really just bragging with better lighting, and I think there is something refreshing about remembering that not every beautiful moment needs an audience.
Maybe that is part of why creating this blog feels so meaningful to me now. I've been on the internet for a very long time, long enough to have watched it change from something that felt creative and personal into something that can feel incredibly loud, performative, and overwhelming. I still love the internet and everything it can give us, but I want this little corner of it to feel more like the kind of internet I remember loving, a place where you could follow your curiosity, write about what was on your mind, discover something interesting, and have a conversation without feeling like you were constantly performing your life.
Like many women, I have never fit neatly into one box. I love a beautiful outfit and a thoughtfully decorated home, but I'm equally fascinated by psychology, personal growth, relationships, feminism, and the hurtful realities of being a woman today, and since forever. I wanted to create a space that reflects that reality because women are not one-dimensional, and neither are our interests.
You won't find just one type of content here. You'll find my thoughts about fashion trends, beauty, health, love, femininity, feminism, books worth reading, home inspiration, and the cultural moments everyone seems to be talking about. More importantly, you'll find reflections on what these topics mean in our everyday lives. My goal has never been to simply tell you what's trending. It's to explore why things matter, how they affect us, and what we can learn from them.
Think of this blog as a long conversation between friends over coffee, where we can discuss everything from the latest fashion obsession to the deeper questions that keep us awake at night. Some posts may make you laugh, others may challenge you, and a few may make you feel seen in ways you didn't expect.
Life is messy, beautiful, confusing, exciting, heartbreaking, and wonderful all at once. I believe there is value in talking about all of it. There is room here for lighthearted topics and serious conversations, for personal stories and cultural commentary, for inspiration and honest reflection.
Most of all, I hope this becomes a place where you feel welcome. A place where you can discover something new, think differently about something familiar, or simply enjoy a few moments for yourself in the middle of a busy day.
Thank you for being here at the beginning, or wherever you happen to join the journey. I can't wait to share this space with you.
Thankful for your presence, Neja
